break

so far my break has been pretty good. much needed, that's for sure. i've been spending most of my time eating and hanging out with the siblings, since the parents are out of the country, and em and nicole at the house. tonight is the 3 hour marathon of the office so i know were all going to be crowding around the tv eating junk food and drinking massive amounts of arizona iced tea.

i've taken to being sick too. which pretty much sucks because i thought my body has become an ox after a whole...6 months of not getting runny noses and loud, hurtful sneezes.

so far i don't really have any plans for new years eve. it isn't usually a big deal at my house, usually we just sit around the tv, watching MTV, seeing the ball drop as people all over the screen interlock into a way inappropriate snog session. that's about the time when i kind of awkwardly turn around and wish everyone a happy new year. but maybe this year will be different? as i said, the parents aren't here but i'm nowhere near planning a party at my house, nor am i willing to clean up the mess afterwards. so i was thinking about taking the sibs somewhere to eat or walk around like 3rd street or something but i don't know. we'll see what they want to do.

god, i'm starving. with the rents gone, leaving us to cook for ourselves, it actually hasn't been that bad. night after night we've been having steak. i'm not complaining to say the very least.

happy xmas eve! woke up this morning with leila licking my face and a strong craving for ramen. last night me and the siblings went to go drop off our parents at LAX, right when we came back we found nicole and emily waiting at our door. of course. haha we ate drank and...danced to mexican music? then this morning we woke up and al, emily, nicole, jo and I went to LA to eat ramen at Orochon. it wasn't as packed as we thought it would be, which was good because we wanted to eat quickly to dodge LA traffic on our way back.

tomorrow's christmas and with the rents gone, i'm not so sure what we'll be doing. tonight were going to my aunt's house for christmas dinner. maybe tomorrow will be a full on baking day.

i went to best buy the other day and i bought myself an external hard drive to backup my laptop incase some bug crawls into my laptop and sends it into a crazy tear-filled meltdown. so anyway, i was filling it up with most of my pictures and music last night when i came across some extremely old pictures. i felt like i've never seen them before. it was so weird. i ran through my graduation, past birthdays, and family trips. wanna see?

break!

after some intense finals, im finally on break to allow for my brain to recovery from the 3rd degree burns and swelling. speaking of winter break, california weather is on the fritz. 80 degree winter weather?! anyway, im so glad im on break now. i could catch up on some reading that i've been pushing off for months.

currently nicole and carlos are over, drinking and watching episodes of the office. unfortunately i have to wake up early tomorrow for a BR christmas breakfast. then em's coming back tomorrow! so hopefully we'll all hang out and i'll catch up on some christmas shopping. my familys also having a christmas dinner thing tomorrow so that should be fun :) i haven't eaten real food in weeks...

rain, rain, STAY

its finally raining! besides the fact that i have still failed to find any rainboots i like, i'll manage to walk around in soaky cold shoes for the time being. this weekend has been so cold! i stayed at the apt sat and sun cause i needed to do some studying and serious reading. my toes were freezing and my body was numb from the cold. haha i think that was the time i concluded that i was going to order a snuggie online. i dont care how i look in that princess leia of a robe. i'll make the best of it. with my newly warm body. i'll probably order a few, a green one for jen, a blue one for myself and a red one for josephine. although i just saw they might come out with a vibrant orange color!!!... along with a whole array of bro patterns such as zebra, leopard and...giraffe? i think we all agree that i should be the next spokes person for snuggies. btw on the website it says you could wear them to late night pub runs and a night out with the girls..count me in!!

they just trucked in a bunch of snow on campus again, but i dont think anyones gonna be sledding down those hills with this rain. :(

start of winter

came back from the annual family roadtrip to sacramento on sunday night. we left on weds, traffic was completely insane. it took us 10 hours to get to sacramento! anyway my long weekend was filled with food, family, movies, and alcohol. i saw my mom drunk for the very first time :) glad to know our WHOLE family turns extremely red when drinking. it's a bonding thing...?

didnt really shop for black friday, we did go to the galleria but i think it's been so long since i've shopped that i've forgotten how to shop. so after a couple of hours and a few items purchased at sephora i resulted to target where i bought seasons 1-4 of the office for $12 each :}

just got back from hanging out and making smores at trevors with katlin trev and jullian. to this day, i can't eat more than one smore. my throat gets all clogged and its not so tasteful anymore. katlin eats hers with 6, count it, 6 cubes of hersheys chocolate pieces! i had 3 in mine and i still thought that was too sweet. i am now realizing that i just went on a rant about smores and the amount of chocolate cubes a person should or shouldnt put in an individual smore. sorry :\.

anyway, this weekend was fast and eventful. in a good way. it felt nice filming again after i missed 168 when i had to bail because i caught the flu. by the end i was counted for crafting services because i felt bad and decided to bake about 6 batches of cookies for the crew. coughed all over them too. mmmm. anyway, saturday we filmed at lake ave. church in pasadena from 8am-10pm. i ended up leaving early since it was my brothers birthday and we were having dinner in LA. korean bbq never gets old. anyway, i was dead tired when i got back and found myself waking up on the couch at 2am with my makeup smeared all over my face, and one earring missing. smelling of meat. it was fantastic.
